The Mastiff story

It’s been a long journey from our idea to more than a hundred MASTIFFs riding across Europe. Our vision is for MASTIFF to be a globally recognised brand that everyone recalls when they think of a cargo bike. This way, we want to contribute to the promotion of environmentally sustainable transport and traffic, and reduce pollution.

 

The road the mastiff has taken

    • Where did we start?

      The mass production of MASTIFF Cargo Bikes started in the autumn of 2020, after more than three years of development. Why a cargo bike? Because we believed and still believe that it is possible to reform the transport and delivery culture in every country in order to contribute to a more sustainable and less polluting future.

    • Where are we at?

      The first MASTIFFs have already covered thousands of kilometres. Based on these experiences and the feedback from their users, we have redesigned and improved not only the frame of the cargo bike itself, but also the optional equipment. We are currently manufacturing and selling the second generation of MASTIFFs, with modern, durable and user-friendly optional equipment and accessories, for professional users (messengers, delivery personnel, industrial transportation operators) and the general public.

    • Where are we going?

      We aim for building a globally recognised brand that is a user favourite with its continuous improvements and smart accessories. The use of each MASTIFF reduces emissions by more than one tonne per year. Thus, the more of our cargo bikes are on the road, the more we can contribute to cleaner air for everyone in the world.

Founders

  • Tamás Varjú

    The idea of MASTIFF Cargo Bike came from Tamás. He believed in a greener passenger and cargo transport, and still keeps on building and growing his MASTIFF team from persons who believe in this cause and vision. He is the primary representative of MASTIFF, as well as the founder and CEO of the company.

  • Anett Varjú

    Anett had been following the development of MASTIFF from the very beginning, but she only joined the business at the same time as Csaba Fejes as a company owner. She is responsible for the background work. She is working on making MASTIFF and the cause and vision it represents known to as many people as possible in Hungary and all around the world.
